And the misperception is shared not only by those who are not disabled, but many doctors, counselors and other members of the disabled community. We have even been met with hostility, “You’re not disabled!”A workshop and focus group to raise awareness for hidden disabilities, and gather information for a publication to be distributed to MRC offices state wide..Included is a PowerPoint presentation with lecture, and focus group. The focus group is being utilized as a tool to gather information regarding the views of consumers and counselors and caregivers, who see MRC from different perspectives, assess program or service quality, determine consumer satisfaction, and identify unmet needs. |
